  • It’s been a rather slow but quite promising start to the season. The grape leaf rat mite hast caused some damage but otherwise we can’t complain and are just lacking a bit more sun. We were (and still are) super lucky to have an outstanding crew thoughtfully green-pruning the vines being one of the most important tasks of the season. Thank you everybody. The plants look strong, the soil‘s pumped up with water, not looking too bad at this point.
  • New vintages disgorged / bottled! Now we’re ready for a new vegetation season.
  • The newest addition to our little portfolio: a 60 year old Scheurebe growing on refurbished terraces all the way up the hill. It’s a lot steeper than it looks. What a beautiful site that will certainly produce a remarkable wine.
  • If you don’t know what to look for this is just soil. But if you do, you feel a beautiful crumbly structure storing the water, see a variety of roots and the paths of the earthworms and you smell a mushroomy meadow. The little white spots you can see is the mycorrhiza, the symbiosis of fungi and plant roots. Mycorrhiza is hard to get back in the ground but offers big advantages to the vines making more minerals and water available to the plant. We frequently dig holes to inspect the soil so we see what impact our previous work
  • 2020 was the devastating year of spring frost. There was not much to pick. One of the few vineyards producing a small second generation of grapes was the Heimat Silvaner. From the 0.5ha we got just enough for one barrique, picked in November with 15g of acid. We decided to bottle it as it was nonetheless last year and now, after a year in the bottle, it starts showing it’s potential. Still young but what a wine.
  • Still hoping we‘ll be able to save our planet, we’ll be glad to travel to la planète D aka La Dive again. Looking forward to seeing many of you again in the Loire valley as we start celebrating the 10th anniversary of #2naturkinder this year
  • This was 2022 - thanks to everybody who’s been a part of it
  • We’d almost given up on this plot. A tiny piece of land. The most work intense vineyard we have. The wine was never that great. And just one barrique. But after six years of compost, compost tea and effective microorganisms we actually did receive a mind blowing wine from the Heimat Silvaner hill this year. Dense, herbal, full of energy. It’s all about soil.
  • All wines are in the cellar, harvest 2022 is over. After two difficult years the new vintage is very promising and tasting the juices and wines a true joy. Thanks to everybody for the tremendous support & the good vibes

About us

Our role is the role of a participant. Of nature composing a juice. Of the interpretation bringing specific flavors to shine. A very important participant without whom the wine wouldn’t exist. But not more. A less predictable wine becomes more available to us. Because we allow for it being alive. Less control means there is a higher risk to fail. But also a higher degree of excitement to achieve and moments of true resonance. With nature, wine and the world.
