Vater & Sohn

Vater & Sohn is our white wine blend. At its core is Müller-Thurgau, a crossing of Riesling and Madeleine Royale. The grapes are foot-crushed and pressed shortly afterwards.

Fermentation and aging take place for around one year in large oak barrels. In the following summer, the wine is blended with small complementary lots selected purely on sensory grounds. The finished cuvée is then transferred to stainless steel, where it settles before bottling.

The name refers to the time when Michael and his father were still working together on blends, and serves as both a memory and a quiet homage to that period.
