Never mind the bollocks

Everything has calmed down. The Silvaner barrels are slowly going through malo, here and there there is something to repair but it’s only the remaining conventional business keeping us (or better: Melanie) busy. And tasting and dinners. Of course. Tastings and dinners there are.

We recently co-hosted winemaker’s dinners in Würzburg’s MS Zufriedenheit and Bielefeld’s Heinrich sein Enkel – it’s an amazing experience tasting menus built around a selection of our wines.

Last weekend we had a great bunch of chefs and somellières from the UK visiting (which is still freaking me out a bit – what the hell do you cook for world class tastebuds?!).

What was particularly nice about that visit: it was the preparation for our upcoming dinner at Where The Light Gets In (Stockport/Manchester) happening the 17th. Listening to Emma, Caro and Sam creating the menu as we tasted wine was an experience already. I can’t wait to taste the result, it’s going to be pretty epic. Our good friend Al from Wines UTB organized a couple of events before and after with a number of outstanding places. And so it became a proper tour: RELEASE THE BATS!

It’s going to be awesome. And of course we’ll have proper tour shirts and posters.

Al put together a little website which you might want to have a look at as further dates get added: http://www.winesutb.com/2nk2017

And I really do hope to meet and drink with many of you along the way. See you soon!
